A small introduction
Mr George Koufogiannis, completed his medical training at the University of Sydney and his post graduate qualifications in Victoria and NSW, culminating in the award of FRACS (Urology).
Mr George Koufogiannis, completed his years of advanced training concentrating on urological cancers with focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques. In addition, George has extensive training on male voiding dysfunction, laser prostate surgery, and stone surgery.
His fellowship year was centred on advanced laparoscopic techniques, implant surgery and open complex urological cancers. His post fellowship training has been in robotic surgery at world renowned centres in robotic surgery, University of Southern California, USA and Asian University in Seoul, Korea.
Mr George is an actively involved in teaching the next generation of surgeons and is a member of the Academy of Surgical Educators. He also consistently participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, audit, and radiology and morbidity meetings.
Mr. George Koufogiannis provides a 24hr on-call service via Pager: 9387 1000 for his patients and welcomes contact from General Practitioners for urgent referrals and advice on 1300 85 87 84. During office hours 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday
